Well, I've had it.  Rather than walk away and go to a different part of the Internet, my new friends from the UK have decided to start threatening me with legal action.

Perhaps their government will pay for me to fly to England to be tried there.

I received a nice little message from someone, you can read it and my response below.  I also began receiving e-mails at home...always pleasant.

I was so pleased to receive a private message from you.  I had almost forgotten how inane and pointless my recent discussion with your friends had been, and your implied threat of legal action brought it all back to me.  Let's take it piece by piece.

I have read the comments you have made about members of the funkcartel on your post here at Vox. I would like to make a polite request that you remove them as soon as possible.

If you've read those then you should have also read the comments they left on my blog.  My comments are a response to their unsolicited attention.  Do you follow?  I did not seek them out, nor did I intentionally provoke them in a discussion about Barack Obama.  Which, I might add, your people ruined.  I will absolutely not take down those comments, for two reasons. 
1.  They are marked as only being available to certain members of Vox, and were from the start.  Since Karlos is in my neighborhood, he can see them. 
2.  Neither you nor any sort of legal authority has the right to moderate my blog.  I resent your request.

I work as a legal adviser to the artists on 5 record labels which includes the funkcartel members and I know that your comments are an opinion and you have not broken any laws. However, you do seem intent on laying bait and you are making rather insulting accusations about them.

If you are their legal adviser, advise them to shut down their blog.  My comments are an opinion, true, and we have already established that I've broken no laws.  Are they accusation, or speculation? 

You are also making rather unfounded allegations about their mental health which I do find rather alarming.

Again, speculation for the purpose of expressing how senseless they seem.

They will in turn leave you alone and that will be an end to it. I understand Karlos has asked that you remove him from your neighbourhood and I hope that you can comply with that request, there is no need not to do so really is there.

Karlos can always go to his web browser, type in a different web address, and never return to my section of the Internet again.  It's a big place, you know.  If Karlos or dafunk insist upon visiting me, they can expect me to express my opinion over and over again.

You can of course continue to make more insulting and derogatory remarks if you so wish but if you do I will act on their behalf and take appropriate action.

By doing what, precisely?  Tell Vox on me?  I haven't made the post in question accessible to anyone outside my neighborhood, and I have every right to put these words on a private blog.  Sure, it's not nice, but neither were your "clients."  And all this begs the question of what you propose to do about this situation from the UK.  I don't think they extradite Americans for Internet Arguments.
By the way, I question the veracity of your claim to represent these people.  It is all too strange that a group which is beset by legal troubles would find my blog, get into an argument, and then sic their law-dog on me when I hurt their feelings.  It seems that only a supremely dense person would put themselves at risk like that.  Or a supremely imaginary person.

Tell your "clients" to do the sensible thing and walk away.  Or, stop making empty threats and tell me what "action" you're going to take.  You can do so in the commentary section, after I post this to my public blog.

Dear Vox,
What follows is a private message received from one IAA, claiming to represent various other members of the Vox community in the UK.  Apparently in response to a private post of mine in which I criticized these people in an impolite and unpleasant fashion, the closing threat of "appropriate action" led me to question:  What kind of action would be appropriate in this circumstance?

I have been informed by one of scio scios neighbours that the other male voxer is thinking of having a sex change and they may consider marriage to cement their relationship. If anyone else can confirm this please do as I am not sure if this is true or not. It is of course possible though. Maybe scio would like to comment
