i am not ignorant or anti american, far from it, i am anti the anti-christ though and they are who rule you. john, a member of your superior white racist race compared his genitalia to mine and bragged his was bigger, well since i am a female, does that not show how stupid he is. i am against war and since america has been at war for around 50 years, i am anti that, not america en mass. it does not matter who you vote for, the illuminati will still rule the american slaves forever more. i shall let you get on with discussing it, but really, it is not worth discussing.

See, the whole Illuminati thing is pretty crazy. The simplest solution is usually the correct one. So what's simpler than a conspiracy? Well, pretty much everything. They've done studies on conspiracies and found that as they grow their chances of success and of staying hidden decrease exponentially.
And as for the anti-Christ, well...whoever claims to know anything about the end times is forgetting the whole thing about not knowing the day nor the hour.

Hopefully you'll keep those points in mind as you debate with others. Anti-Christ doesn't and shouldn't scare believers, but it doesn't scare non-believers either. And conspiracy theories are implausible and paranoid.

Wasn't Pol Pot the Devil? He is dead. But seriously, I think this "Illuminati" conspiracy is kind of a joke. It's about mankind's lack of virtue- go get Dr. Thomas Sowell's "A Conflict of Visions". It's a well-researched work and Dr. Sowell is very knowledgeable.

It's that the "Totalitarians" have been at war with those of us in "civilization" that cherish freedom and this goes back since man began, whether you live in Great Britain, the US or wherever, it’s more about ideology and outlook rather then religion, nationality or language.

I think "dafunk" has had a nip of da funky brew.
I keep popping back in here to see the discussion thread, and find that Dafunk is still ranting? Didn't she say 3 posts ago that she wasn't going to discuss it anymore?
Congrats on the front page honors. Was it you who said Obama was getting a free pass with the media? Someone said it. It's very true. Even Saturday Night Live has made fun of it....

So even though we don't compete on the same team, I'm glad someone is bringing up some valid points regarding Obama's capabilities.

I think he could do wonders in a humanitarian sense though.

Da Funk. Arent you a Brit? You claim that America has been at war for 50 years - is this one non-stop war or are you starting with the time we were dragged into WWII kicking and screaming? Remember that war? The brits could have avoided war because Hitler was actually quite fond of them and saw them as Aryans (your King being German and all). However they CHOSE to go to war with the Germans.

Should we talk about England's hideously oppressive treatment of Ireland or its rape of Scotland? What about the British Empire's responsibilty for worlwide colonialism that is still a root cause of Africa's modern day problems?

I find it odd that any Brit has the nerve to jump all over Americans when they are EQUALLY guilty - if not moreso.

ROFLOL and yet Da Funk is in your neighborhood. LOL
don't worry, karlos was just trying to teach me a lesson. Failed miserably. I didn't learn a thing.
[this is good]

Congrats on the front page Scio.

I'm not suprised that the Obama post went from 'why Obama is great?' to 'why the United States is 'evil.' that tends to happen whenever you try to talk politics in a intelligent and open-minded manner. It is usually one or two people who feel the need to assert their 'high moral ground.'

As for Obama, I have seen him speak in person and enjoyed his message. I think that the reason he is so popular is because he really touches a nerve in the American people. His messages of hope, change, and bringing people together really speak on a universial level. I tend to think that Clinton represents the 'status quo' side of the coin to many young people and independents who tend to go for Obama.

I have to say that although I like Obama as a speaker, writer, general human being, etc. I will probably not vote for him because he does not align with me politically. I really feel like I am stuck in between a rock and a hard place with McCain, Clinton, and Obama. Frankly I would love to vote Obama over those two in my gut, but my mind tells me that I would curse the day I did.

As for the 'America the evil' thing. As a American who is proud of where I come from, I generally prepare for that. You can't please everyone, and you certainly can't please people who start off angry that the U.S. is a superpower.

The United States has done good and bad things. But frankly, which country hasn't?

I'm not suprised that the Obama post went from 'why Obama is great?' to 'why the United States is 'evil.'

Yeah, I'm not sure why I was surprised. It hardly ever stays neutral. I have a thought I'm tossing around about identity politics being the reason we take things so personally these days, but its embryonic. Couldn't expound upon it at present.
I meant to do this days ago, Congrats, it was a good post.
